Osun First Lady Distributes 700 Bags of Rice to Residents

In a heartwarming gesture, the Osun State First Lady, Chief Mrs. Titilola Adeleke, distributed 700 bags of rice to residents across the state. This humanitarian act aims to alleviate the economic hardship faced by the people of Osun State.

The distribution exercise took place at the Osun State Government House, Oke-fia, Osogbo, and was part of the First Lady's food support program. The initiative is also supported by the office of the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

Chief Mrs. Adeleke emphasized the importance of supporting vulnerable members of society, especially during difficult economic times. She urged everyone to remain steadfast and adjust prudently to the present situation in the nation-building process.

The beneficiaries of the food support scheme included religious groups, members of the physically challenged persons, widows, and other vulnerable individuals in the society. The First Lady's kindness has brought relief and joy to many families across the state.

The event was attended by top government functionaries, including Hon. Temilade Khalid, Special Adviser to Governor Adeleke on Children Affairs, and Hon. Moji Omisore, Special Adviser (RAMP). Other dignitaries present included Hon. Oluwaseyi, Special Adviser (Home Grown Feeding), and Hon. Princess Boade Oyewale, Special Adviser (Water).

The People Democratic Party faithful across the state were led to the program by Mrs. Alice Otunla, State Women Leader, and Hon. Oyebode Ademola, PDP State Chairman of Local Government Chairmen. Other notable guests included D.S.P Yemisi Opalola, P.R.O, Osun State Police Command, Chief Mrs. Mary Oyebode, and Mrs. Monisade Awotunde, Former ALGON Chairman's wife.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of a frame to Mrs. Adeleke in recognition of her devotion towards improving the livelihood of the physically challenged persons. The Osun State Women with Disability Farmers Association (OSWDFA) presented the frame to the First Lady.

In her remarks, Chief Mrs. Adeleke thanked the association for the recognition and reiterated her commitment to supporting the vulnerable in society. She also urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the food items
