Ogungbangbe Lauds Nation's President on _CFR_ Honour To Lagbaja

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Commander in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has consistently, strategically disposed the nation's armed forces to playing exceptionally effective role in internal security, territorial integrity, democracy advancement, and peacekeeping operations across the world to the acknowledgement of the United Nations, UN, African Union, AU, and Economic Community of West African State, ECOWAS.
Making the commendations on a Lagos radio phone-in programme, ' *Insight'* last night, Dr Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe, noted that the presidential declaration of the posthumous national honour, Commander of the Federal Republic, CFR, conferred on the late Lieutenant Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja is one award, well deserved for his meritorious service to the army and national security and stability.

The All Progressive Congress, APC, chieftain from the Osun East Senatorial District of the state remarked that the former Chief of Army Staff, an illustrious son of Osun, was a stability agent who contributed in no small a measure to the on-going strategic transformation of the nation's economy.

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of CITA ENERGIES extolled the financial and tactical support of the federal government to the military despite other pressing national commitments and the reality of the harsh global economic climate, saying the well known relentless efforts of the government at the standardization of the military equipment, military training and operational readiness  as well as the exposure of the officers to the command- threat analysis- communication- administrative- logistics skills and, the troops' physical fitness and enhanced welfare posture, boosting fighting efficiency, have significantly leveled the upsurge of insurgencies and violent extremes in the country, with the security of lives and property of Nigerians and hope and future of the nation, guaranteed.

He described Lagbaja as articulated, dedicated, hardworking, fine gentleman military officer, but firm, loyal and respected command giver with self image protected and who faithfully abstained from action and inaction that could tarnish the military in the course of his selfless service to the armed forces and the nation.

The scion of Ajagbusi Ekun Royal Dynasty of Iloko Ijesa in Oriade local government council area of the state, lauded the armed forces for guarding the government trust and public confidence reposed in them by being patriotic and disciplined, and opined that the existing healthy civil-military relation would continue to generate in the civil populace, better understanding of the resolute and deliberate military operations, particularly against any security threats to the collective existence of the nation. 

He charged politicians, struggling for space to do so with caution to keep the system unobstructed just as he asked the military to remain dedicated to professionalism and shun politics, ethno-religion sentiments, other distractions, but to continue to make the government, functioning effectively.
