NSCDC FOILS ROBBERY ATTACK, RECOVERS VEHICLE IN OSUN

A daring robbery attack was foiled by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Osun State Command on Saturday, October 12, 2024, in the Onibu-Eja community along Iwo-Ibadan road, Osun state.
According to the NSCDC boss in the state, Michael Adaralewa, a four-man gang of armed robbers invaded a house in the community and stole a vehicle at gunpoint from a family.

The robbers struck at about 15:25 am, leaving the family traumatized. However, the community quickly sprang into action, putting a distress call to the NSCDC Osun State Command for assistance.

The officers of the command, who were on patrol, swung into action and engaged the suspects in a gun duel. Faced with superior firepower, the suspects fled, leaving the stolen vehicle behind.

The stolen Toyota Corolla, with chassis number 1NXBU40E49Z005008, has been recovered and is currently in the custody of the NSCDC Osun State Command.

Dr. Michael Adaralewa commended the swift response of the officers and their bravery in foiling the armed robbery attack. He also lauded members of the public for providing timely information to the command.
