NEW COMMANDANT TAKES HELM AT OSUN NSCDC
The Osun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has welcomed a new Commandant, Sotiyo Igbalawole Emmanuel. The deployment was approved by the Commandant General of NSCDC, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi.
Commandant Sotiyo succeeds Dr. Adaralewa Michael, who has been promoted to Assistant Commandant General (ACG).
The new Commandant hails from Abeokuta, Ogun State, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a Master's degree in Public Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State.
Commandant Sotiyo has attended numerous courses both in Nigeria and abroad, establishing him as an expert in security architecture and leadership.
His deployment to Osun State is seen as a strategic move to strengthen the corps' presence in the state.
The NSCDC Osun State Command has been instrumental in maintaining law and order and providing security services in the state.
Commandant Sotiyo has pledged to build on the achievements of his predecessor and take the command to greater heights.
The corps is confident that his leadership will bring about positive changes and improve the security landscape in Osun State.
The change of guard ceremony was attended by top officials of the corps and stakeholders in the state.
