Osun State First Lady Supports Federal Government's Birth Registration Project

The First Lady of Osun State, Chief Mrs. Titilola Adebusola Adeleke, has thrown her weight behind the Federal Government's Birth Registration at Scale project.

The initiative, launched at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja, aims to increase birth registration services coverage in hard-to-reach and rural communities across Nigeria.

Mrs. Adeleke, who was in attendance at the launch, commended the project as a vital step towards addressing identified gaps in data collection and policy-making.

She urged First Ladies across the nation to champion the cause in their respective states, emphasizing the importance of accurate data in improving the lives of women and children.

The project is a collaboration between the Federal Government, Unicef, National Population Commission, Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, National Identity Management Commission, and Banksforte Technologies Limited.

Other dignitaries in attendance included the Wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shetima, and the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Babatunde Ogunwusi.

The Federal Government's Birth Registration at Scale project aims to accelerate birth registration and certification, particularly in rural and hard-to-reach areas.

The initiative is expected to have a positive impact on the lives of Nigerian citizens, especially women and children.
