Osun NMA honours UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital CMD

Osun State chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has presented an award of excellence to the Chief Medical Director of the UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, Prof. Peter Babatunde Olaitan.

The award tagged "Teacher's Excellent Award" was presented to Babatunde on Saturday at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile-Ife.

The award was said to be in recognition of Prof Olaitan's selfless contributions and dedication to residency training and medical practice.

While presenting the award, the NMA lauded the contributions of Prof Olaitan to the medical profession and his efforts at ensuring the progress of the NMA.

Receiving the award, Prof Olaitan appreciated the state chapter of the NMA for recognizing him through this award. He further appreciated the resident doctors of Uniosun Teaching Hospital, who he described as most dilligent and most cooperative group of professionals. He promised to continue to make his contributions to the medical training and profession, stating that the recognition will encourage him to do more.

Members of the NMA in the state as well as other well wishers  were present at the well attended ceremony.
