OSSIEC Inaugurates Electoral Officers, Charges Them on Uprightness

The Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC) has inaugurated electoral officers and assistant electoral officers, charging them to be upright in the discharge of their responsibilities.
In his address, OSSIEC Chairman, Barrister Hashim Akintunde Abioye, congratulated the newly inaugurated officers, stating that they have been considered fit and proper to be appointed.
Abioye emphasized that OSSIEC is on the verge of making history, not just in Osun State but also in Nigeria's democratic journey.
He assured the officers that the commission is committed to upholding the rule of law and ensuring that the electoral process is not compromised.
The OSSIEC Chairman charged the officers to work under strict instructions and maintain fidelity, confidentiality, and neutrality.
He assured them of good conditions of service and treatment, urging them not to abuse the privilege.
Abioye informed the officers that they will receive schedules of duties and necessary materials to ease their jobs.
He added that updates will be provided in the next few days to serve as their guide.
The OSSIEC Chairman welcomed the officers on board and congratulated them on their appointment.
With this inauguration, OSSIEC is poised to conduct credible and transparent local government elections in Osun State.
