The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Osun State Command has warned individuals planning to protest against vandalizing Critical National Assets in the state.

In a press release signed by ASC Kehinde Adeleke, CDPRO Osun State Command, the Commandant, Dr. Michael Adaralewa, emphasized that protection of Critical National Assets is a core mandate of NSCDC.

Dr. Adaralewa stated that the command has deployed massively to ensure that infrastructure such as petroleum and gas pipelines, communication masts, railways, roads, and bridges are not vandalized, as they are crucial to the country's economic and social survival.
He appealed to protesters to express their grievances through lawful and peaceful means, avoiding activities that could compromise national security and public safety.

The Commandant also warned parents and guardians to caution their children against being used by individuals seeking to incite trouble under the guise of peaceful protest, stating that anyone caught would face the full wrath of the law.

The NSCDC assured the public of their safety, stating that necessary measures have been put in place to prevent any acts of vandalism by miscreants seeking to capitalize on the peaceful protest.
