Adegbulugbe Buries Father-in-Law, Late Ọba Professor Abiri, in Grand Style

Renowned academic and traditional ruler, Emeritus Professor Oba John Omoniyi Abiri, was laid to rest in a grand funeral service at the Cathedral Church of Saint Philip, Ayetoro, Ile-Ife, Osun State, over the weekend.

The service, which was attended by family members, friends, and colleagues of the deceased, was a fitting tribute to a life well-lived. Professor Anthony Adegbulugbe, Chairman of Green Energy International Ltd and son-in-law of the deceased, led the family in paying their respects and celebrating the life of the departed patriarch.

Emeritus Professor Oba Abiri was a respected figure in the academic and traditional circles, known for his significant contributions to education and the community. His legacy will continue to inspire and motivate future generations.

The funeral service was officiated by the Bishop of the Cathedral Church of Saint Philip, Ayetoro, Ile-Ife, who delivered a heartfelt sermon paying tribute to the life and legacy of the late Emeritus Professor Oba Abiri. The bishop praised his contributions to education and the community, and encouraged the family to continue his good work.
