The Osun State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR under the leadership of the Chairman, Mr. Ademola Adesoji, has on Tuesday, 11th October, 2022 congratulated one of its members, who is the National Vice President of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, ACG Basir Adewale Adeniyi on his conferment of the National Honour of Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR).
ACG Adewale Adeniyi was honoured today, Tuesday, 11th of October, 2022 with the National Award of MFR at the International Conference Centre, Abuja by President Muhammadu Buhari for his consistent performance in community development programmes, his sacrifice in nation building, and for distinguishing himself in the service to the country and humanity at large.
ACG Adewale Adeniyi, a seasoned Public Relations Practitioner and an Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs has been a role model and inspiration for many public relation practitioners over the years, and is a household name in the Nigerian image making space.
A release by the Public Relations Executive of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Osun State Chapter, Abisola Ariwodola quoted the Chairman of NIPR, Mr. Ademola Adesoji saying “ACG Basir Adewale Adeniyi is not only a seasoned PR practitioner, but also an indelible and unrepentant workaholic. As an ACG in the Nigerian Customs Service, he has a lot on his table to address on a daily basis, so how he finds time to be at the forefront of our institute’s activities is a wonder of the world on its own. It was only a matter of time before he got recognized with this national merit, and saying it is well deserved is an understatement.”
In his closing remark, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, H. E. Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, who presented the national honours to the awardees in person stated that the awards were not merely for decoration, but should spur the spirit of patriotism and remind the citizenry to do their best as Nigerians.
The Osun State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations hereby felicitates with a brother and friend on this landmark achievement.
