OSUN STATE STEALS THE SHOW AT COWLSO 2024 NATIONAL WOMEN CONFERENCE

The Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO) 2024 National Women Conference came to a close on September 10, 2024, at the Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos.

The two-day conference was a huge success, with inspiring lectures and activities led by renowned technocrats and facilitators.

Osun state delegates, led by Her Excellency, Chief Mrs. Titilola Adebusola Adeleke, actively participated in the conference, making a significant impact.

The highlight of the event was the appearance of an Osun state Governor look-alike, who entertained the audience with his dancing skills, mimicking Governor Adeleke's movements.

Governor Adeleke was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Teslim Igbalaye, and other officials at the gala night and raffle draw session.

In their separate remarks, the Governor of Lagos, H.E. Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his wife, Mrs. Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, Governor Ademola Adeleke, and Nasarawa state Governor, H.E. Engr. Abdulraheem Sule, expressed support for COWLSO's initiatives.

The conference aimed to equip attendees with the necessary skills and knowledge to advance women's emancipation and empowerment.

Other notable personalities in attendance included the wife of the Inspector General of Police, Mrs. Egbetokun, industrialist Alhaji Razak Okoya (Eleganza), his wife, Sade Okoya (MON), and Mrs. Abimbola Jakande, wife of the first civilian governor of Lagos state.

The event was a testament to the power of women in shaping the nation's development and a demonstration of the commitment of Osun state to women's empowerment.

The conference ended on a high note, with a gala night and raffle draw session, marking a successful conclusion to the COWLSO 2024 National Women Conference.
