NSCDC REUNITES TWO CHILDREN WITH THEIR PARENTS

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Osun State Command has successfully reunited two wandering children with their parents.
The first child, a 12-year-old boy, was found wandering around Lameco in Osogbo on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 11 pm.

According to the boy, he ran away from his guardian's house due to inadequate food, stating that his guardian only provided him with two meals a day, which did not satisfy his hunger.

After reuniting him with his guardian, it was discovered that the boy has a high appetite and remains unsatisfied regardless of the quantity of food given.

In another incident, on Saturday, August 31, 2024, an 8-year-old girl was found wandering at Apara Area, Osunjela, Ilesha Road, Osun State.

She was taken to the nearest NSCDC office by a good Samaritan and later reunited with her parents.

Commandant Adaralewa commended the public for their collaboration and appealed for proactive intelligence to ensure the safety of children, especially during this holiday period.

He assured that the command is working with sister agencies to unravel the mystery behind the disappearance of the three children kidnapped in August and bring the perpetrators to justice.

The NSCDC has urged parents and guardians to be more vigilant and report any cases of missing children to the authorities immediately.

The successful reunion of the two children with their parents is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the NSCDC in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in Osun State.
