Council Election: Candidates' N30m Tax Backlogs paid up by Ogungbangbe

Dr Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe has made, electoral politics toughened with financial challenges, less burdensome with his huge support of thirty million naira (N30m) to election candidates, watchers of electoral politics in Osun State have revealed.

Pressing on, the observers disclosed that the altruistic man singlehandedly, paid in full, a total sum of N30,000,000, the outstanding tax debts, owed by the entire one hundred and forty five (145) candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, from Osun East Senatorial District, and had them issued tax clearance at once, ahead of the forthcoming local government council election in the state.

The APC Ijesa shrewd political leader of the Ife/Ijesa axis of Osun does often step forth on empathy, with financial support to his party's candidates when winning in public election is hard row to hoe, meaning making to him but practically, places no burden on him.

Responding to the benevolence of the Chairman & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CITA ENERGIES Limited, the beneficiary, all ten (10) Chairmanship, ten (10) Vice-chairmanship and one hundred and twenty five (125) Councilorship candidates for the ten local governments across Osun East, expressed, in unison, the most hearty gratitude to Ogungbangbe, the benefactor, described as a finest libertarian and thoroughbred patriot by the quality of his deeds and character of his mind and heart.

The APC council candidates recalled Prince Ogungbangbe's financial largesse, the other time, also in several millions of naira to the Osun APC Ijesa North candidates with overlapping spillage to Ijesa South counterparts in the last general elections into the National Assembly (NASS) and simultaneously, replicated in many federal constituencies, the North, East and West of Nigeria with his party's candidates in the NASS election as recipients. Minister of Marine & Blue Economy who's also the leader of the party in the state remains the incentive basis for my philantrophies to the party's candidates," Ogungbangbe said, adding, "I have preference and respect for his humility and credibility." 

The understanding of the tax liabilities of the APC candidates in the council election, paid upfront by the global business leader, is a relieve tonic to the candidates, to participate in the next year council polls, leaving them with ample chances, other resources to boost electioneering campaigns and serve well to deploy requisite potentials and create pragmatic footprints on the socio-economic growth and development of their constituents and constituencies.
