CAF Announces Dates for AFCON 2025 and WAFCON 2024

The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has revealed the dates for the highly anticipated AFCON 2025 and CAF TotalEnergies Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) 2024.

Both tournaments will be hosted in Morocco, with AFCON 2025 taking place from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.

The CAF TotalEnergies WAFCON Morocco 2024 will kick off on July 5, 2025, and conclude on July 26, 2025.

CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe expressed his confidence in the success of both tournaments.

He praised the growth of women's football in Africa, anticipating a highly successful WAFCON.

Motsepe acknowledged the complex discussions with various parties due to the extensive international and domestic match calendars.

CAF is committed to protecting African players' interests and building relationships with other football organizations.

The announcement was made possible through the collaboration of CAF, the Fédération Royale Marocaine de Football (FRMF), and the Moroccan government.

King Mohamed VI of Morocco, FRMF President Fouzi Lekjaa, and the people of Morocco were thanked for their support in hosting the tournaments.
