HFDI Trains 80 Female Aspirants On Participation In Politics, Presents Certificates In Ekiti State

On advancing women's political participation through female elected candidates in South West Nigeria, Hope for Family Development Initiative HFDI has trained 80 female aspirants in Ekiti State.

This is as it presented the female participants, Certificates of participation for the four days training program on political inclusion, representation and participation in politics. 

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the Executive Director of Hope for Family Development Initiative (HFDI) Dr. Amb. Aremu Stephen Akinyele stated that the program funded by Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen in collaboration with German Federal Foreign Office, has marked a significant milestone in Ekiti State.

 He stated that the training program, aimed at advancing women's political participation through female elected candidates in South West Nigeria, is a step forward in promoting gender equality, as well as the importance of inclusive governance and the empowerment of women in political leadership roles.

He charged the beneficiaries of the four days program to judiciously make use of knowledge gained in the political affairs matters, while urging them to remember to represent their gender positively in the future political career.

Ambassador Aremu added that Hope For Family Development Initiative HFDI, will continue to monitor the progress of the female aspirants in the state, adding that the objective of the Zivik funded project will be achieved.

The female aspirants were selected from all the political parties and major female groups in Ekiti State.
