Akirun Stool: Gboleru Royal Family Applauds Governor Adeleke, Pledges Support To His Govt

Following the white paper issued by the Osun State Government notifying the selection of Akirun of Ikirun land, the entire Gboleru Royal House in Ikirun appreciates Governor Ademola Adeleke for allowing truth and justice to prevail 

In a statement signed by the Spokeperson and Secretary to the family, Prince Alimi Oyewale and Prince Jimoh olatunji, it was stated that Governor Adeleke is a God sent who has demonstrated leadership capacity by nullifying what would have subjected the state into turmoil. 

Part of the statement reads, "We, the entire family of Gboleru appreciates His Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke on the white paper released on Akinrun chieftaincy 

"No doubt, this decision portrays the Governor and his government as one who respects the rule of law and due process.

"The so called Akirun elect was installed in haste. By the time  he was elected, Gboleru Royal Family was already in court challenging his selection, unfortunately, the previous government who installed him turned deaf ear.

"We want to say it unequivocally that the present administration in Osun has taken the bull by the horn, reversing the illegality perpetrated by men of yesterday. Osun is our joint heir, wr cannot afford those who know little or nothing about our heritage and history to destabilise it."

The Royal Family however appeals to the Ikirun sons and daughters to remain calm pending the time the Appeal Court will deliver it's judgement. "We Appeal to our  people to maintain peace and harmony and shun any act that can distrupt already existing peace and tranquility in the ikirun land.
