Osun State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board holds its annual Christmas Carol Service

The Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has charged Christians in the State to always thank God irrespective of what they might be passing through. 

The Governor made this call at the year 2023 Christmas Carol Service held at the Osun State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board auditorium behind the State Secretariat, Abere with the theme *Jesus Christ, our Saviour* .

In his speech, the Governor who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi said the yuletide season is a time to thank God for His mercies being enjoyed throughout the year 

.

The governor who was the special guest of honour commended the Board. 

He, however, bemoaned the poor state of the auditorium and pleged the readiness of Ademola Adeleke led administration to put it in a beffiting state. 

The Founding Bishop of Victory Life Ministries International, Bishop Mike Bamidele, who delivered the Christmas sermon, stated that Christmas is a time to project Jesus Christ as the saviour of mankind from the vicissitudes of life.

He however, admonished  Nigerians to trust Jesus Christ at this critical moments that the country is going through economic downturn and security upheavals.

The Administrative Secretary of the Osun State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Pastor Sunday Babawale, while speaking on the essence of the Carol, stated that Christmas serves as a time for humans to renew the essence of their existence and connect with Jesus Christ in whom there is life.

The event was graced by dignitaries from the Christian community hosted by the Fellowship Coordinator, Pastor Olawale Oyero, and Chapel Evangelist, Mr. Adebayo Adeyinka alongside other officials of The Osun State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board. The Board choir entertained attendees with sonorous Carol songs, while choral groups from the state government house, state house of assembly, and a children’s choir also played beautiful tunes to the admiration of all.
