Governor Adeleke's SSA on Transportation, Hamid Adewale Turbanned as Otun Baba Adini of Owode Ede

In recognition of his contribution to Islam and humanity, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ademola Adeleke on Transportation, Hon. Hamid Adewale has been turbanned as the Otun Baba Adini of Owode Ede Central Mosque.
The two in one ceremony also witnessed the commissioning of the Owode Ede Ultramodern Mosque by the Timi of Ede land, HRM. Dr. Munirudeen Adesola Lawal.

Performing the turbaning ceremony, the Chief Imam of Owode Ede, Alhaji Isa Shitu said the Owode Ede Muslim community deemed it fit to turban the Governor's aid because of his contribution to Islam and the Muslim community. 

He added that the track record of Hon. Adewale speaks volume about him, stressing that his impact in ensuring that Owode Ede develops economically  can not be overemphasised.

The religious leader however admonished the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor not to deviate from his good character, stressing that out of many sons of the area, it’s a rare privilege and honor to have considered him for the honour.

While thanking the Imam and the entire Owode Ede Muslim community for counting him worthy of the honour, Hon. Hamid Adewale promised to continue discharging his duty without fear or favour.

He described the honour as a challenge for him to do more for the growth of humanity, the Muslim community and the entire Owode Ede.

In his words, “I want to sincerely appreciate the Owode Ede Muslim community for counting me worthy of this honour. I want to assure you all that I shall continue to discharge my duty as expected of me. I dedicate this award to Almighty Allah and the good people Ede North Local Government and Osun State at large for their love and support always. 

"This is a challenge for me to do more for the growth of humanity and the Muslim community and I will not hesitate to do it". He stated.

The Commissioner for Transportation, Hon. Sesan Oyedele and other members of staff of the Ministry of Transportation were among dignitaries who graced the well attended ceremony.
