Adeleke's Government is Performing Transparently - Information Commissioner ... advises opposition to engage in constrictive criticism

Against the backdrop of prevailing criticism of Governor Ademola Adeleke's administration in the public space, critics have been enjoined to come to terms with the fact that he is a performing Governor, who is transparent in all his governmental activities.

The Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi, made this assertion while granting interview to newsmen in his office at the government secretariat.

The Commissioner averred that Governor Adeleke's government is operating an open door policy as reflected during Ipade Imole where he  explained to the whole world how the N2 billion palliative and N7 billion infrastructure funds received from the Federal Government would be disbursed. 

Speaking on the 100-billion naira Infrastructural Plan, the Commissioner reiterated that the fund is to be generated by the State, and not funded by any financial institution, noting that it will be expended on specific projects spread across the three senatorial districts of Osun state.

Oluomo Alimi lauded the feedback initiative of the people on projects embarked upon by the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke, describing it as fantastic, just as he emphasized that the government is majorly concerned about the development of the State in all ramifications.

While he maintained that the government welcomes constructive criticisms from all quarters, he frowned at critics preaching against the flyovers, dual carriage roads, schools, hospitals and other projects, captured in the 100-billion infrastructural development plan, urging them to rather provide alternative ideas that will develop the State aside from the ones being operated upon by the current administration.

He counseled any group that claim to be talking on behalf of the people to be  sincere, eschew bias and be more concerned about the development and benefit to be derived by the people.

He then stressed, with emphasis, that the 100-billion naira Infrastructural Plan and other projects followed the due process and ratified by the Osun State House of Assembly, as captured in the 2023 supplementary budget.
