SA Regional Integration mourns Adekilekun Patriach... Condoles ICT Commissioner over Dad's Death

The Special Adviser to Governor Adeleke on Regional Integration Barrister Kamal Adekilekun (PhD) has described the death of the Patriach of Adekilekun family in Ede, Alhaji Abdulwahab Ayofe Adekilekun as a huge vacuum that will be difficult to fill by the family and the entire Edeland as a whole.

This is contained in a condolence message personally signed by the Special Adviser over the demise of Alhaji Ayofe who died on Wednesday 18th October, 2023 and was buried on Thursday 19th October in accordance with Islamic rites at his residence at No. 4, Araromi street, Ede.

Barrister Kamal said Alhaji Ayofe as baba was popularly known during his lifetime was a source of unification and pillar of support around which the entire family  rally.

The legal icon added that the deceased used his resources to service the family because of his staunch believe and commitment to value system of the Adekilekun family.

He recalled with nostalgia how Baba Ayofe led the struggle for the development of Edeland which resulted in the establishment of the Federal Polytechnic Ede,  the moribund Cocoa Processing Industry, Ede Waterworks, Construction of the magnificent edifice of Ede Central Mosque and several others too numerous to mention.

The Special Adviser to Governor Adeleke on Regional Integration said the entire populace of Ede and environ will miss the leadership role of the last-man-standing in the Adekilekun dynasty.

While commiserating the immediate and extended  families, Bar. Kamal called on the Commissioner for Innovation Science and Technology, Hon. Maruf Ayofe and other biological children to take solace in the fact that Alhaji Abdulwahab Ayofe Adekilekun had his name written in gold on the pages of industrialization, commerce, philanthropism and community development of Edeland, Osun State and Nigeria at large.

Bar. Adekilekun Kamal  Condoled the Osun State government, business communities in the southwest  part of Nigeria particularly, the Grand Mufti of Ede who is also the Wazeerul Mumineen of Yorubaland Edo and Delta States over the transition of one of the founding fathers of Osun State.

He equally commiserated the Timi of Edeland, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, Laminisa 1, the Timi-in -Council, the league of Imams and Alfas in Edeland to take solace in the good legacies of the 107 year old community leader.
Dr  Kamal therefore prayed to Allah to repose the soul of Alhaji Ayofe in Aljannat Firdaos.
