Osun Assembly Welcomes Development Plans With Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers

Osun state House of Assembly under the leadership of Rt Hon Adewale Olumide Egbedun has welcomed the development plans presented to him by the state chapter of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, NIESV.

The disclosure was made at the courtesy call paid to him at his office by the state Chairman of the professional estate surveyors and Valuers association, ESV Adekunle Adedoye on Thursday.

The Speaker stated that administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke is open to developmental policies and activities for the state, he added that the government will not let NIESV Osun State Branch down as well as the good people of Osun State at large.

Listening to the presentation of the Osun NIESV, the Speaker, Rt Hon Wale Egbedun welcomed the executive of the association and assured them of using his capacity to expedite action on the amended in Estate Agency Regulatory Bill presently going on in the House of Assembly. 

He stated further that the State House of Assembly will collaborate with Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors And Valuers Osun State Branch to generate Internally Generated Revenue, IGR for the state.

NIESV Osun State Branch had met with Hon Engr Lawrence Olalekan Adeoti, Chairman House Committee on Lands, who warmly welcomed the professionals, saying he look forward to collaboration that will enhance growth for the benefits of the government and the people.

Earlier in his remarks, the state Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers NIESV ESV Adekunle Adedoye informed the Speaker and Chairman House Committee on Lands that the association is the professional body in charge of Land and landed properties, allocation of land, as well as management and procurement of land in Osun State. 

He added that their coverage is not limited to anything that do with landed transaction, added that they also oversee Facility management,  Valuation for all purposes and Land Acquisition and compensation, maintained that the association is ready to partner the government of Governor Ademola Adeleke in taking the state to great height through property tax revenue generation among others.
