APC Launches Imo Gubernatorial Campaign Council, Vows to Win Convincingly

The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Saturday, September 16, 2023, inaugurated its National Campaign Council for the Imo State November 11 Governorship Election. The ceremony, which took place at the Hero Square in Owerri, the Imo State capital, was attended by distinguished guests, including Governors, Leaders, Stakeholders, and the National Secretary of the APC, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru Ph.D, who delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the National Working Committee (NWC) members under the leadership of HE Abdullahi Umaru Ganduje. 

In his speech, Senator Basiru Ph.D stated that the inauguration of the NCC marks the commencement of the APC's journey toward winning the Imo State governorship election. He recalled the party's setback in the 2019 election when the mandate freely given by the good people of Imo State was stolen by anti-democratic forces. However, he assured me that the APC would not allow such a setback to happen again.

Ajibola Basiru noted that the NCC's composition reflects the party's belief in the power of unity and diversity. He said the Council members represent a diverse range of professionalism, experiences, and opinions, but are unified in their dedication to the APC's vision and objectives. He expressed absolute faith in the Council's ability to lead the APC to a resounding success.

The APC National Secretary also highlighted the achievements of Governor Hope Uzodinma, who is seeking re-election. He said Uzodinma has demonstrated an unwavering devotion to the party's core beliefs and ideals and has set a precedent in good governance from the beginning of his tenure. He urged the Imo people to re-elect Uzodinma to solidify the state's position on the path towards greater heights of prosperity and progress.

Distinguished Senator Ajibola Basiru concluded by thanking all the members of the APC who have worked so hard to make the inauguration of the NCC a reality. He reiterated the NWC's dedication to the ideas that have guided the party since its beginning. He urged all party members and supporters to be steadfast and approach the coming election with optimism, dedication, and determination.
