Ex-Deputy National Youth Leader Commends Ganduje, Basiru Emergence As APC Chairman, Scribe

Afeez Bolaji Repete, a former Deputy National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has commended the emergence of immediate past governor, Dr. Abdullah Ganduje and Senator Ajibola Basiru over their emergence as National Chairman and Secretary of the party respectively.
According to Repete, who was a Special Adviser in the administration of late former governor Abiola Ajimobi, the emergence of Ganduje and Basiru could not have come at a better time.

The duo had been ratified to replace Sen. Abdullah Adamu and Sen. Iyiola Omisore at the party’s National Executive Council in Abuja last Thursday.

The youthful Ibadan-born politician, in the statement, said that “I like to congratulate the duo of Dr. Ganduje and Sen. Ajibola on their emergence as Chairman and Secretary of our great party.

”Being someone who has been in the party Excos before, I know we haven’t had it so good having such intellectuals at the helms of affairs. The wisdom deployed by our leaders is uncommon, and I have to commend them for that.

”The duo are coming at a time our party needs repositioning, and I am happy they are chosen. I make bold to say that our party is on course to show leadership to other parties within and outside the country.

“Both would no doubt complement the efforts of President Bola Tinubu. Our president and party are very lucky to have them at this point in time. APC is loaded with stars, obviously.

“About leadership, I can attest to Dr. Ganduje’s prowess. Before my late leader died, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, he told us many things about him, apart from being in-laws. Dr. Ajibola, on the other hand, is like a mentor to some of us. As commissioner, he excelled. As senator, he was unmatched. Before becoming all these, he has equipped himself. As a commissioner, he was teaching law at the Osun State University. So he was a jack of all trades, master of all. I congratulate all of them,” Repete concluded.
