Congress of Progressive Youths Endorses Distinguished Senator Dr. Ajibola Basiru as National Secretary of All Progressives Congress

COPY recognizes Dr. Ajibola Basiru's exceptional track record and extensive experience that have prepared him for the significant responsibilities that lie ahead. From earning his Distinguished status through a democratic election to demonstrating outstanding dedication and intelligence during his academic journey, Senator Basiru's qualifications are exemplary.

Furthermore, his tenure as Commissioner for special duty and later as Commissioner for justice and Attorney General in Osun State showcased his excellent leadership and administrative capabilities. As the Spokesperson of the Senate, his performance was nothing short of remarkable, solidifying his reputation as a highly effective and diligent legislator.

Throughout his career, Dr. Ajibola Basiru has proven his legal prowess by handling and winning landmark cases for various political parties, including AC, ACN, and now APC. Fondly known as SRJ, he has earned immense popularity as a grassroots politician with substantial influence and strong networks not only within the State but also nationally and globally.

Given the current need for unity and stability within the party, Senator Basiru is indeed a round peg in a round hole. His appointment as National Secretary will undoubtedly contribute to achieving peace and progress within the APC.
