Osogbo Indigenes Casts Vote of Confidence On Prof Moruf Adeleke as Commissioner ..appreciates Osun government for his appointment

Indigenes of the ancient town of Osogbo in Osun state has casted vote of Confidence on their son, Professor Moruf Ademola Adeleke, who was recently appointed as a Commissioner by the government of Governor Ademola Adeleke.

This is as the sons and daughters of Osogbo-land appreciated the Executive Governor of Osun state, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke for his appointment as the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning.

The vote of confidence was passed by the royal father and leaders in Osogbo town among which include: the Ataoja of Osogbo, HRM Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun, the Secretary to the state government, SSG Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye, PDP Leader who also doubles at the Oluomo of Osogbo land, Hon Tajudeen Oladipo, the Chief Imam of Osogbo, Sheikh Musa Animashaun and a host of others.

The disclosure was made at the reception programme held in honor of prof Moruf Ademola Adeleke NCE, B.Sc. ED, MSc. Ed, Ph.D. (OAU), Commissioner of Budget and Planning, held at City Dwellers Event Hall in Osogbo on Saturday.

Speaking at the reception program which had academicians in attendance, the secretary to the state government, Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye who expressed gratitude to Gov Adeleke, and joy to the choice of Prof Adeleke, thanked the Osogbo local government leaders and excos for ramifying his selection.

The SSG said that Prof Moruf Adeleke is a good son of Osogbo land who have testimonies to point out, and he assured the people of the town of his delivery and of his support as member of the cabinet of the present government, and he urged Prof Adeleke to continue his good legacy.

In his goodwill message, the Oluomo of Osogbo land, hon Tajudeen Oladipo also appreciated Osun government under the leadership of Gov Ademola Adeleke for the appointment of Prof Moruf Ademola Adeleke, who he said have laudable antecedents to is credit.

Hon Oladipo congratulated the people of Osogbo and Osun at large for having good representation, which he said will bring synergy between the government and the people, and between the people to each other as well.

Also speaking, an erudite scholar, emeritus Professor Richard Olaniyan who raced the occasion with his wife, Dr Mrs. Olaniyan described Professor Ademola Adeleke as a professor of mathematics who is detailed in his activities, he commended Osun government for identifying and appointing him into his cabinet.

In his sermon and prayers, the Chief Imam of Osogbo, Sheikh Musa Animashaun, who gave his message through Sheikh Abdulateef Abajaoro charged the newly appointed commissioner to build on his love of God, as well as his sincerity, integrity and love for the people, which he is known for.

The religious leader giving him best wishes, urged his wife to strengthen her support and he prayed for the family in the presence of all in the gathering.

In his vote of thanks, the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Professor Moruf Ademola Adeleke thanked Governor Ademola Adeleke for the appointment, and he also appreciated the towns Royal Father, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun, PDP leaders members of Osogbo local government for the confidence reposed on him, and he greeted everyone who supported and who graced his occasion, saying he won't let them down.

The reception programme was attended by dignitaries which include: the Onisaaki of Saki, HRM Oba Popoola Olakunle, Prof Abdufatai Makinde, Prof Yussuf and other colleagues from Obafemi Awolowo University, Colleagues at Osun state University, Dr K.K Oluwatoyin, Rector Federal Polytechnic Offa Kwara state, Osun state Polytechnic Iree, Oroki Club 99, Circle of Wisdom, Peoples Democratic Party leaders and members, professional colleagues, friends among others.
