G 21 conducts the Investiture of the Former Commissioner for Works, Osun as a Patron of the Group

By  Femi Modesolami Siyanbola

In the spirit of collegiality, the membership of those APC gladiators who came along with Engineer Kazeem Salaam to receive the souvenirs and G 21 most spectacular insignia given to him by the members of G 21, Osun at his country home in Iree was with fun-fare, feasting, and festivity. Among the very close associate were Honourable J. Z. Subair; Hon. Ganiyu, Ex-Soldier who presented the G 21 certificate of honor; Mr. Bode Odudele, (Elepo Robi) who decorated Engr. Kazeem with the G 21 Tag of Honour and Otunba Adekanye who was also on the high table.

It was a glorious investiture recompensing the loyalty of Engr. Salaam to Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and his unstinting loyalty to the progressive circle since joining the Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola administration in 2010 from the Secretariat, Alausa, Lagos.
This uncanny appreciation of the altruistic and philanthropic gesture of Engr. Salaam to all and sundry and most importantly the group, informed the reason why G 21 has vowed to continue with their struggle to retrieve the loss structure of the APC from the impostors, mischievous and prodigal faction.

Most unexpected was the way the program of the day was conducted. The sumptuous meals and assorted drinks provided were served before the major program of the day started.

The usual protocol of introduction was done by the Secretary, Hon. Lawal Adebowale. Singing of the State of Osun Anthem and the Mandate song were sung in honor of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola who adapted the anthem song that was created by their avatar, Late Obafemi Awolowo during his stint as Premier of Western Region. It could be recalled that some of the States in the Western Region have also adopted this Anthem as their State Anthem.

Then came the President of the group who rendered his speech with constraints occasioned by the exigency of the situation. He berated the decision of the members of the Osun State House of Assembly by trying to expunge the gazetted Anthem. He was full of praises for the new opposition Governor Jackson Ademola Adeleke who later issued an executive order that reverted the decision in honor of the significant antecedent of the Anthem.
He spoke with chastisement and disdain for the conduct of Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru by not handling the impasse and the rift that existed between Oyetola and Aregbe his former principal very well.

He opined that SRJ was complicit in the plot by Oyetola to give the baton of governance from his lane to the opposition which culminated in the monumental loss recorded in Osun by any progressive camp.

He also spoke about the new President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu trying to right the wrong in the economic affair of the country. He was full of praise for his doggedness and his capacity to steer the ship of the country to higher height and glory. He prayed fervently that Tinubu will ever continue to succeed as a financial expert who knows the chronology of the economic quagmire in which  Nigeria has found itself. He said his second term is sure because of the way he has been prioritizing his agenda and policy in  Nigeria and the West Africa sub-region. He said Tinubu should find a favorable position for his principal, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola to compensate him for his odyssey so far in the political arena.

He also talked about the honorary recipient of the G 21 insignia as a dependable philanthropist. He also talked about how Hon. Sola Oladepo, Former Osun commissioner for environment betrayed Ogbeni and Engr. Salaam in the project Mandela Freedom pack management. He also spoke about Kola Olabisi who because he had a grudge to hold with Aregbe in his Osun Defender resignation snatched his friend's job, Barr.  Kunle Oyatomi while Olabisi continues to mislead the new factional APC Chairman, Hon.  Tajudeen Lawal in some of his press releases.
Engr. Kazeem Salaam while giving thanks and responding after his investiture said he will continue to cherish and hold his principal Rauf Aregbesol in high esteem for his magnanimity towards him.

He said despite being very rich before he came to honor his appointment as Commissioner for Works in Osun given by Aregbesola; he had no choice but to succumb to the honor and take up the appointment. He said he will always support the G 21  in all their quest to rebuild the political structure frittered away by Ileri - Oluwa.

He frowned at the intrigue of the Ileri - Oluwa cronies who were neophytes in politics who felt the commonwealth must be hijacked by their greed without having the wherewithal to organize an election-winning strategy.

It was a carnival-like occasion which made many politicians who came to the occasion have a swell day. The G 21 has continued to embark on rejigging the lost political structure and shore up the political activities at the grassroots level. it is, therefore a task that must be done by all the progressives in Osun who want the party to bounce back into its topmost position in the state devoid of acrimony and investment in politics of feud and rift
G 21 members who were in attendance sang and dance throughout the occasion from dawn to dusk. May we succeed in our prayer to place our party on the tripod stand of success once again in the State of Osun.
