Osun Assembly: NAWOJ Congratulates Speaker Egbedun, Deputy and other members

Osun Chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists NAWOJ has congratulated the newly appointed Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Adewale Egbedun on his emergence as the number one citizen of the Legislative chamber.

This is as the Women led Association also congratulated the Deputy Speaker Hon Akinyode Oyewusi, as well as other principal officers and members of the Osun State House of Assembly.

This was made known in a release by the State NAWOJ Chairperson, Mrs Motunrayo Ayegbayo and the Secretary Comrade Abisola Ariwodola, who described the youthful Speaker Adewale Egbedun of the 8th Assembly as a passionate and service oriented person.

While expressing emotion on the unavailability of any female among the 26 state Assembly members, Osun NAWOJ urged Mr Speaker to consider and include the female gender in its policies.

It also asked that a female gendered member be made the Chairman House Committee on Women and Children affairs, and also asked for other considerations in the interest of the Women in the state.

Osun NAWOJ wishes Rt Hon Adewale Egbedun a successful working relationship with the Executive and Judiciary towards good service delivery for the benefits of the good people of Osun.
