NASU-NACETEM Frowns at ASURI's Show of Shame, Warns Prof. Ndubuaku

On the illegal appointment of Olusola Odusanya as pseudo DG/CEO, the Non-Academic Staff Union of National Center For Technology Management, NASU-NACETEM branch have expressed its huge disappointment in the Academic Staff Union of Research Institutes, ASURI National Secretariat over its shameless display of desperation at the North Central Office of NACETEM in Abuja on Thursday, 1st of June, 2023.

NASU-NACETEM Congress berated the General Secretary of ASURI, Prof. Theophilus Ndubuaku, for hiring hoodlums on the streets of Abuja to carry placards on an issue they knew nothing about and made them impersonate researchers in NACETEM.

Reacting to an online news report, where ASURI was said to be warning NASU to steer clear of Olusola Odusanya, the NASU NACETEM Congress returned the piece of advice to Professor Ndubuaku stating that he should be the one to steer clear of NACETEM because even researchers in NACETEM do not welcome him.

According to the release signed by Comrade Gbadamosi Funminiyi Branch Chairman for NASU NACETEM, the ASURI Headquarters should know that NASU NACETEM has never directed any of its actions towards it since the onset of the current struggle.

"This was not because NASU-NACETEM was unaware of the antics of unscrupulous elements like Ndubuaku and his partners in mischief. Our Union deliberately ignored ASURI because we believe the Union is in tatters as far as NACETEM is concerned and is therefore not a force to reckon with."

"We dare the ASURI Headquarters to disprove this position by releasing the names of ASURI officers in NACETEM, their offices and the dates they were elected into office."

"The whole nation needs to know that Mr. Emmanuel Ejim-Eze, one time Chairman of the NACETEM Branch of ASURI, has been the only person running the affairs of a supposed Union; and himself and Prof. Ndubuaku have been the brains behind the crises in NACETEM. While Ejim-Eze runs an autocratic, over-stayed tenure in NACETEM, Ndubuaku runs a similar system at the ASURI National Headquarters. Both men are notorious for their deviant behaviour in the circle of researchers locally, at NACETEM, and nationally."

NASU NACETEM through its congress used the medium to warn Prof. Ndubuaku and his cohorts to shelf the sinister plan of bringing hoodlums and rented protesters to the NACETEM Headquarters in Ile-Ife. This will not only be regarded as an outright confrontation but will be treated as a deliberate invitation to break down of law and order on the peaceful and serene campus of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and will be resisted by every known means within the ambits of the law.

Our Union stands for the truth on this matter and the truth will surely set NACETEM and all her well-wishers free.
