Vote-Not-Fight: Senator Basiru Declares Peace, Calls On Osun Govt To Enforce Peace

Candidate representing Osun Central Senatorial District, Senator Ajibola Basiru have declared peace for the 2023 Election in the state.

The Senator made the declaration to the Vote-Not-Fight Campaign Team who visited him for peace accord and commitment, also called out to the good people of Osun to maintain peace.

The Senator who maintained that himself and his party members, APC are for peace before, during and after the election, maintained that "We are for Peace, but I doubt if Osun Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke and his people are for peace"?

He frowned at the violent attack made on candidates and people of the state by the opposition, said "it is worrisome that the government in about few days to election appointed a brother to a candidate Ila-Orangun as Amotekun Field Commandant".

"It is important to call on Osun Governor to remember that security of lives of Osun people should be the paramount purpose of his government".

Similarly, the Senator commended Vote-Not-Fight Campaign Sponsor/Initiator, National Democratic Institute NDI, New Generation Girls and Women Development, NIGAWD and Gain for being ambassador of peace as he signed the Vote-Not-Fight Pledge and GAIN commitment documents.

He reiterated his determination to improve on his people friendly programs such as empowerment and engagement for youths and person with Disability inclusive, as he is re-elected to represent the good people of Osun Central at the red Chamber.

Earlier in his remarks, Mr Kayode Bello on behalf of Vote-Not-Fight Campaign Team for Osun, informed the Senator on the need to ensure peace subsist towards, during and after the election, while Mr Kenneth also appreciated him for good representation and service delivery via to Osun people.
