SRJ Belongs To Osun People With Qualitative Representation: Osun Central Has Never Had It So Good

The political landscape of Osun is same as others elsewhere, but the uniqueness of what makes the state outstanding in its recent choice of representation, is Senator Dr Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru.

Since creation of Osun state, lawmakers emerged and finished their tenure simultaneously, they all had bills and constituency projects which could be pointed to, though some had none to their names.

History shows there were some who did their constituency projects to their town or local governments alone, some did it on the streets they live in town, while some did nothing.

The chronicles of Osun representation at the Senate and House of Representatives and the number(s) of year(s) spent by each one is accessible to peruse.

Out of the representatives Osun state elected into the National Assembly is the Osogbo-born: Senator Ajibola Basiru popularly called SRJ.

The truth is Osun state have never had such a good representation, particularly Osun Central, SRJs impact is felt from Osun to Abuja and the country at large. 

Right from Osogbo to Olorunda, Irepodun, Orolu, Odo-Otin, Ifelodun, Boripe, Ila-Orangun, Boluwaduro and Ifedayo local governments, Senator Basiru is well known to all.

He is a grassroot politician who is very familiar with all the people and terrain of his constituency, even children.

He is endearing in nature, a trait which is unusual in politicians, and just as children loves him, he treats them well and reciprocates with ensuring they are beneficiaries of his constituency projects.

Yes, educational intervention is one of the qualitative service given by SRJ to Osun Central children. Never for once did he make any audio promise to them.

Across the local governments, Dr Basiru erected blocks of classrooms in some schools in Osun Central, which he complimented with furniture, gave computer tablets to some students and he also got WAEC accreditation for some of the secondary schools in his constituency: Muslim Grammar school, Baptist primary School, AUD primary school among others.

Aside the education sector, Senator Ajibola Basiru who is the Senate Spokesperson for the 9th Assembly provided boreholes at market places and palaces across Osun Central, he has sunk over a hundred motorised and solar boreholes.

With SRJ, Osun Central public places are no more with darkness at night-time, as he lighted up market places, major and minor streets as well as palaces in the Senatorial District, by installing over 600 solar lights, and communities in his constituency also benefitted from his transformer intervention. 

Talk of employment, Ajibola Basiru took willing youths out of unemployment in the society, he offered and trained them in the modern methods of  cultivating, harvesting, processing and marketing of some agricultural products: six hundred youths trained to date. 

He also went as far as completing a building of 1000 capacity Agriculture Entrepreneural Center at Awosuru, Osogbo, he also empowered over 2000 farmers with items such as bags of hybrid maize seedlings, chemicals, knapsacks,sprayers and other farming inputs.

Aside agriculture, he focused youths who wanted other sort of employment opportunity: hundreds of youths benefitted from OYES, N-power, Federal Fire Service, Airforce academy and Federal Task force, he also gave scholarships to indigent students, and invested in sport.

Artisans in Osun Central were not left out as beneficiaries of his qualitative representation, he empowered them with items such as hair dryers, generators, water pumps, vulcanizing machines, refrigerators, sewing machines, motorcycles, grinding machines and tricycles among others.

Unlike where others would wait for government to construct or reconstruct roads for them, Senator Basiru took it upon himself to grade roads particularly those in the rural areas to make on and off farming sale easier for farmers, roads were also reconstructed in Osogbo the state capital.

The physical intervention projects by Senator Dr Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru to his constituents in Osun Central Senatorial District is for the beneficiaries to improve their economies.

This acts of his, made Osun people to love and support him because he alleviated their hardships and supported them, SRJ was never selfish about his constituency projects, he believed Osun people elected him there and it's their right to also benefits from his representation.

The journey for second term representation of Osun Central have begun, it will climax into votes on Saturday February 25, Osun Central wants continuation of his goodwill, because Senator Ajibola Basiru treated all in the constituency specially, he gave qualitative representation, he represented well.

Senator Dr Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru belongs to Osun people, loved by all: from royal fathers, constituent members and children, particularly as a beam of Osun Central Senatorial District and we look forward to congratulating him for his second term in office.
