Patricia Etteh Drums Up Support for Basiru

Former Speaker of the House of Representative, Right Hon. Patricia Olubunmi Etteh earlier in day joined forces with Senator Ajibola Basiru to campaign for his re-election to the Senate.

In the continuation of his campaign tour to Olorunda local government where he was received by jubilant and joyful party supporters and electorates, the former speaker said, she stayed 12 years in the House of Representative leading to her election as Speaker of the House adding that it is desirable to re-elect Senator Basiru so that he could attract better dividends for the people of his constituency. 

Senator Basiru visited Baales, chiefs, Alfas and imams, Iyalojas and babalojas of Ota-Efun community, Christian association of Nigeria (CAN) artisans and non indigenes and communities that include: Oba ile and Oba Oke, wards 1-8 of Ayetoro, Igbona, and BCGA. all in the  Olorunda local government.

 He thanked them for their support and votes during the 2019 election, charging them to do even better this weekend.

Senator Basiru and the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Etteh and party leaders in Olorunda local government implored the constituents to vote for him as Senator, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the President, Mrs. Abosede Ogooluwa as a member of the House of Representatives in the Saturday election, and Hon Kunle Akande as a member of Osun state House of Assembly on the 11th of March.

He reiterated that all the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are competent, capable, and true democrats who have the interest of the masses at heart.

Senator Basiru mentioned some of his achievements in the last three and half years which include quality representation of Osun Central Senatorial District, rehabilitation of roads, provision of over 1,000 solar lights, provision of over 60 boreholes, the building of 12 schools' buildings, and different empowerment programs for women, youth, farmers and artisans.

In their responses, the monarchs, Baales, and elders of the towns and groups pledged to vote for senator Basiru and all other candidates of the All Progressive Congress.
