Hon Bamidele Salam lauds INEC for job well done, Flays non functionality of BVAS in some places

The lawmaker representing Ede North/South, Egbedore and Ejigbo Federal Constituency in the lower Chambers of the National Assembly, NASS who is also a candidate of the People's Democratic Party vying for a reelection, Honorable Bamidele Salam has expressed reservation over some of the Biomodal Voters Accreditation System BVAS in some parts of his constituency, that were non functional in today's electoral process.

The federal lawmaker made the disclosure in an interview with this medium shortly after casting his vote at Ward 1, Unit 7, Awo-Abudo in Egbedore local government area on Saturday, February 25.

He pointed out that the Presidential, Senatorial and House of Representatives elections conducted with scientific process by INEC was easy, safe and convenient for the electorates to cast their votes.

While affirming that the election process was fair, he equally pointed out that the turnouts of electorates in some parts of the state was low, citing the present hard economic situations as not too encouraging for people to come out and perform their civic duties, Hon Bamidele Salam, in the same vein, lauded INEC and other stakeholders for doing a good job.

He expressed conviction that the turnout was quite encouraging with the help of the security forces who have been performing their role excellently well, stressed that very soon the election process in the country will improve beyond how it is now, and he implored Nigerians to keep hope alive. 

The Honorable member casted his votes for Presidential, Senatorial and House of Representatives candidates at the February 25 Saturday polls 12:02pm.
