Ease the Pain of Small Businesses, Don't Deprive Citizens of Right to Vote, National Youth Council of Nigeria Osun Council Cries Out

By Abisola Ariwodola,

Following the crisis rocking the Nation as it takes on battle from fuel crisis to naira scarcity, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Osun State Chapter under the leadership of Comrade Abdulazeez Ismail Abiodun is calling on the Federal government of Nigeria to find lasting solutions to the problem facing our dear Country.
According to Osun NYCN, small and medium-scale businesses which the youth depended on have been closed due to the fuel and new naira notes challenges bedeviling the country.

Many of our youth could no longer bear the pressure again and urgent action needs to be taken as the general election is fast approaching. If this suffering is not urgently addressed, might lead to voter Apathy, which is not good for our democracy.

Comrade Abdulazeez pointed out that the Federal government shouldn't wait until the whole nation is burnt down die to frustration and anger from the populace, as some States had already began protests which have led to disruption of daily activities and vandalization of banks.

According to the release by Osun NYCN, it urged the State Government, led by Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke to also make effort to ease the pressure on the good people of Osun State before they react negatively to issues, adding that Osun will be affected if the people join issues with trending challenges.

"We never want to witness the case of EndSars in Osun State again, where innocent peoples properties were attacked and destroyed, alongside the attempt on the life of the former Governor, and many lives were also affected."

"With the spate of hunger and hardship which the people are passing through, if no urgent action is taken it may lead to robbery and disruption of peace by the idle and pressured youths in the state."

However, it is important to inform the people of Osun State that the National headquarter of the Youth Council had already called for a National warning protest but we in good faith believe to sustain the peace in our State taught to act this way of 'jaw jaw' as a means to avoid innocent people being attacked.

" On the final note, we appeal to philanthropists, big business owners, companies, and our royal fathers to help in one way or the other to ameliorate the challenges small business owners are facing while the federal government finds lasting solutions to the rising challenges in order to have a free, fair, credible, all inclusive and conclusive general election."
God bless the people of Osun State
