New Year Message:  Prince Awofisayo, GOF Chairman Felicitates With Nigerians

The Executive Chairman of Gboyega Oyetola Foundation, GOF, (a non-political Non-Governmental Organisation, NGO) Prince Felix Adeyemi Awofisayo has felicitated with Nigerians for witnessing the New Year. 

This was contained in a statement issued by the Media and Publicity department of the NGO and made available to journalists in Osogbo, Osun State capital on the New Year's day. 

He congratulated Nigerians and thanked God on their behalf for sparing their lives to witness another year.

According to him, the immediate-past year, though filled with much challenges, saw Nigerians becoming more resolute than ever before to stay alive and witness a better country. 

The Ile-Ife-born Prince therefore charged all and sundry on the need to see the New Year as a unique opportunity to contribute in making Nigeria a better place for all.

"The New Year should be seeing as a gift by God for the living and an opportunity to contribute their quotas to making Nigeria a better place for all," he stated.

Prince Awofisayo also used the opportunity to appeal to all Nigerians of voting-age to make sure they participate in the forthcoming  general elections to elect leaders of their choices. 

Speaking further on the fast-approaching general election, the GOF Chairman admonished all political actors to ensure playing by the rules and avoid acts capable of truncating the nation's nascent democracy.

The senior citizen also charged religious groups and leaders to refrain from evil indoctrination capable of throwing the country into confusion. 

"I wish to admonish all religious groups and their leaders to shun all evil indoctrination that can truncate the current peace being achieved by the Federal Government in its resolve to make the country be at peace," Prince Awofisayo further added.
