SRJ Takes Let's Go Forward Campaign To Oke-Ila

The second term campaign of Senate Spokesperson, Senator Ajibola Basiru, moved to Oke-Ila Orangun in Ifedayo Local Government area of Osun Central Senatorial District, on Tuesday.

In line with his tradition, the Senator's first port of call was the palace of Oba Adeokun Abolarin Aroyinkeye I, the Orangun of Oke-Ila, to pay homage.

Oba Abolarin said as one of the teachers of the Senator, he can attest to his brilliance and qualitative representation so far at the red chamber.

The monarch said despite being a first-timer at the National Assembly, he has extended his sterling performance, pledging to mobilise both human and material resources, to aid his re-election.

Oba Abolarin appreciated Basiru for his tremendous support to the town, through the construction of Gbagede Oju Oba in Oke-Ila, solar streetlights, boreholes, empowerment, training and other developmental projects, in the town.

"You have done well. So much that people even wonder if you are a first-timer. You are brilliant and, intelligent with veritable contributions during debates at the National Assembly. Some of us who have known you for r long will not fail to note this and work assiduously to support your re-election bid. We appreciate all you have done for Oke-Ila and we are ready to reciprocate."

Senator Basiru while addressing party faithfully, enjoined them to see the next election as a major step in the emancipation of Yorubas as his party, the APC is the only platform that produced a candidate from the South West, allowed the region to lead Nigeria once again, through Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He urged them to give their full backing to the success of the Basiru Let's Go Forward movement for the betterment of Osun Central and ensure the continuity of effective and qualitativrepresentationon. 

On the entourage of Senator Ajibola Basiru, were Hon. Adebisi Obawale, Hon. Adekola Tinuoye, as well as Leaders from Osogbo and Ifedayo local government areas.
