PDP Crisis: Details Of BOT Meeting Emerge, As Governor Wike Speaks On Peace
The leaders of the People Democratic Party (PDP) have been committed to seeing the restoration of peace in the party. In a bid to achieve the goal of restoration of peace to the party, there have been different meetings with the camp of Governor Nyesom Wike who have made certain demands from the party.

It appears progress is being made as talk of peace has emerged from a recent meeting between Governor Few Wike and the Board of Trustees members of the PDP. The meeting was held at the Government House in Port Harcourt, Governor Wike disclosed that peace is important in the party.

According to the report gathered on Channels Television, Governor Wike disclosed that he is committed to seeing peace restored in the party, his statement reads, "The most important thing is to have peace. The house is united. I am hopeful we will resolve the issues because I am alive. Only those who are alive are hopeful.

" We have said repeatedly that we will not leave the party. We believe the internal issues will be resolved." He said. The acting Chairman of the PDP, Board of Trustees, Adolphus Wabara also spoke after the meeting, his statement reads, "We have not concluded. Making peace is difficult. But we have heard from his side. The family remains one.

" We shall achieve peace very soon." No detail was given from the meeting about the pressing issue of the removal of Senator Iyorchia Ayu as the National Chairman of the party, which has been one of the demands of Governor Nyesom Wike. The outcome of the meeting, however, shows that the crisis which has been going on since May could be resolved soon.
