Osun PDP:Cleric Decries Kinsmen Involvement in Babayemi's Purported Expulsion

Bishop Oluwagbémíró  Fàbuluje of Anglican Diocese, has condemned the kinsmen of a stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State,Omooba Dotun Babayemi, who had hands in his purported expulsion from the party.

This is even as Babayemi vowed to work assiduously for the victory of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and other members of PDP vying for one position or the other on the platform of the party at the 2023 polls.

Some party members from Babayemi's Otun Balogun Ward 2 Gbongan,had purportedly expelled him from the PDP, an action that has been nullified by an Osun State High Court sitting in Osogbo presided over by Justice Jide Falola. 

So speaking to this effect on Sunday at the 25th remembrance of the passage of Babayemi's father, Oba Solomon Oyewole Babayemi, the Olufi of Gbongan,Bishop Oluwagbémíró frowned at those who allowed themselves to be used against their kinsman, Babayemi, who fought to authenticate his candidature as the party flag bearer.

Making veiled reference to those behind the plot that seems to be affecting the PDP in the state even without mentioning their names, the renowned Cleric decried that those involved could allow themselves to be used against the wishes of their community.

Encouraging Babayemi, he enjoined him not to be deterred by the turn of events; "To you Omooba Dotun Babayemi, I will implore you to keep your vision and hope alive; don't be discouraged,pursue it. God has given you a vision for Osun State and it will surely come to pass. It may not yet be your time, but your time will surely come and you will surely get there by the grace of God"

Eulogizing the late royal father, Fàbuluje described him as a man who lived a life full of service, urging his children to continue in that path of honour 

"The late Olufi of Gbongan who was a thoroughbred intellectual, gave his all to the good of mankind, his community and Osun. In fact,he was one of the few who fought for the creation of Osun State.He roundly lived a fulfilled life cherished by all.My appeal to you, the children,is not to veer off this worthy course" he pleaded

Also speaking with journalists at the event, Babayemi described the PDP as the party that could bail the country out of its doldrums, adding that he would not relent in his efforts at ensuring the success of the party at the coming elections in 2023.

"PDP is the only party that can take the country out of its current woods. In this vein, I am doing everything necessary at wards, local governments, and state levels as well as the south west, to ensure the emergence of the PDP come 2023" he assured

He described his late father as man who was emulable in all aspects of life, noting that the children would always cherish his memories.

The event was graced by people from different walks of life and party members across the state.
