I'm Not Sponsoring Any Aspirant, SRJ

The Senator representing Osun Central Senatorial District, Dr Ajibola Basiru, has dissociated himself from information making rounds that he is supporting some councillorship and chairmanship aspirants ahead of the coming local government elections.

In a Statement he personally signed, Senator Basiru said he is neither sponsoring nor supporting any aspirant in any form.

"I want to clarify and State categorically that I am neutral in the Local government and other contests. My focus is my own Senatorial re-election and the need to strengthen my party at all levels."

"I'm not in support of any councillorship and chairmanship aspirants, and I enjoin people and particularly party members not to buy into any information linking me to any aspirant in the forthcoming local government election."

Senator Ajibola Basiru therefore wishes all aspirants in the State: my Senatorial District, my local Government and wards, success in their political and sundry endeavours.
