Aregbesola exemplifies the essence of progressivism as he receives the " NAPTAN'S LIVE TIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD" from NAPTAN, Abuja

It was a beehive of panoramic activities at the hallowed chamber of the Federal Ministry of Interior's board conference hall, Abuja which was equipped with soundproof amenities which gave the ceremonial ambiance the class that the auspicious occasion was made of. Ogbeni before anything else in his unscripted speech, berated those who arrested and reversed his vision and mission over the reformation of education policy which he midwifed when his tenure lasted as the former governor of the State of Osun. "It was unfortunate, therefrom,  that the policy which could have placed Osun on the zenith of education emancipation amongst the comity of States of the federation, was casted off by his successor out of mischief ", he posited as he gave an enduring lecture after receiving his award. He also thanked NAPTAN for recognizing and appreciating his performance while talking further that nothing was more exciting than people to appreciate you and demonstrate to you a show of love for the service rendered while he was once a governor in the state of Osun.

The award selection committee led by Alhaji Haruna Danjuma, the President of NAPTAN who was represented by the Vice - President, Chief Adeolu Ogunbanjo had placed the yardstick upon which the education award was given on the reform trajectory which Ogbeni as the advocate of 6334 education system which has  now metamorphosed  into the 934 education system  has percolated the current system without any paradigm shift or change in the curriculum activities of the education value system.

In this pedigree, he has carried the creativity to the Correctional Centre as a cabinet member of President Buhari's administration where he encouraged the inmates to go to school and obtain diverse degrees, diplomas, and certificates in various courses from the tertiary education institution. In his scripted speech, the President through his vice said the governor had initiated the construction of 3685 classrooms across the state, and 11 of these structures were a world class standard which were installed with cutting edge technological instructional and state of the arts  facilities.

Several guest speakers were invited to make comments on the nitty gritty of the rationale behind the award after which the Vice President of NAPTAN, Chief Adeolu Ogunbanjo had earlier delivered the award speech. to the admiration of the audience.

 The first speaker therefore, was Hon. Bola Ilori with great statistics intimated the audience regarding  the construction of education infrastructure which was unprecedented in the history of Osun with the school building infrastructure and some other education reforms which Rauf's Governorship tenure was noted for.

 The MC. of the day Hon. Ileowo Kikiowo made many more revelations about Aregbesola's exploits in the Osun school education reform which endeared him to the western world when he was invited to UK parliament to make the legendary presentation about " Opon Imo", (the tablet of knowledge) which he introduced to Osun senior secondary school students. Other speakers were the Secetary of G 21, Hon Lawal Adebowale who rendered a powerful speech. The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Abuja,  Dr. Shuaib Belgore,  who spoke extensively about the quality of the virtue of his boss Aregbesola with  his comment also  on the quality of loyalty which the facilitator of the award G 21 demonstrated for facilitating the award presentation. He also said that his boss Ogbeni has brought dynamism in the style of leadership and vigour with  which he pursued his work which is unprecedented in the history of Federal  Ministry of Interior leadership., thereby leading to the automation of activities of the Ministry. He also said his boss is highly visionary to the extent, he ensures that he improves upon all the systems better than how he met them.  

Hon. Nureni Adebisi who later spoke also eulogies the virtue of Ogbeni on the Education's policy at Osun and later at the  Ministry of Interior.  After the highlight of the presentation of the award, the situation came to a crescendo when Hon. Sola Fasure, the special adviser to the Minister was asked to give the votes of thanks of the day. He saluted the contributions of the guests, gave thanks to all stakeholders and admonished Ogbeni that the award must be received and recognized as everybody's award after recounting the narrative akin to one of his children's prayers about how the cake he was given should be shared when he was doing his birthday. 

A large number of people graced the occasion with only five people including the National President of G21, Tajideen Yussuf (Pablo) seating with Ogbeni beside the P.S, Dr. Shuaib Belgore,  Vice - President of NAPTAN, Chief Adeolu Ogunbanjo with other invited guest s at the high table. The auditorium was branded by the National PRO G21, Hon. Femi Mode Siyanbola; Hon Tunde Ajilore; Mrs Idia Babalola; Comrade Ademola Ekundayo, (National PRO Naptan); Comrade, Bisi Olaniyan, State's Chairman NAPTAN, Osun; Hon. Nureni Adebisi; Hon. MBO Ibrahim; Hon. Sola Fasure; Ogbeni's Security details; National Exco and Members of NAPTAN; Exco and Members of G21 from Osun; Government functionaries, Politicians; Civil Servants; People from different walks of life were also in attendance at the occasion.. 

After the activities of the award, there was a closed-door meeting with the entire members of G 21 (Osun Network) where members were allowed to lay  bare their minds to the Minister.
