Prince Awofisayo Congratulates Osun Speaker, Owoeye on 50th Birthday

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Osun State and Chairman, Gboyega Oyetola Foundation, GOF (a Non-Governmental Organisation, NGO) has congratulated the current Speaker of the State Parliament, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye on the occasion of his 50th birthday.

This was part of a statement issued and signed by the GOF media team and made available to journalists in Osogbo, the state capital on Wednesday.

Describing the parliament head as a party loyalist and committed progressive, the Ile-Ife-born Prince stated that since Rt. Hon. Owoeye became the Speaker of the state parliament, he has demonstrated quality leadership that has brought stability to governance in the state.

He further stressed that he never expected anything less from the state parliament under Owoeye, in view of his vast experience in the State House of Assembly haven spent over a decade as Principal Officer.

"I have never for once doubted Rt. Hon. Owoeye's competence as demonstrated in his ability to steer the ship of the state parliament effortlessly based on his personal experience spanning over over decade as a principal officer of the House.

"It is therefore not surprising that he has been able to bring stability to governance in the state," Prince Awofisayo noted further.

He therefore prayed for the celebrant to witness more celebration of the day in divine health, abundance and prosperity in the land of the living.

Prince Awofisayo also used the opportunity to admonish members of the state parliament to continue the path of progressivism it has chosen, as this remains the only way to bring the much-needed dividends of democracy to the teeming masses of the state.

"I wish to use this opportunity to admonish members of the state legislature to continue to cooperate with the House leadership with a view to sustaining the current peace in the state and bringing the much-needed dividends of democracy to the people across the state," he added further.
