GOF, Partners Hold Post-election Summit - Charge Residents to Change focus.

The management of Gboyega Oyetola Foundation, GOF (Non-Governmental Organisation, NGO) has stressed the need for all residents of Osun State on the need to push the last governorship election behind them and find other ways to forge ahead and better their lots.

This forms part of the decision arrived at during a post-election meeting by the management with some members of organisations partnering with the Foundation.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Foundation's Head of Media Department, Mr Kayode Agbaje and made available to newsmen in Osogbo, the state capital.

According to the Chairman of the Foundation, Prince Felix Adeyemi Awofisayo, the need to change focus by all and sundry has become imperative as the governorship election has come and gone.

"Since the governorship election has come and gone, there arises the need for all residents of the state to change their focus and find means of bettering their future," Prince Awofisayo stated.

While addressing participants at the meeting, the GOF President, Dr. Yemi Adegoke also stressed the need for individuals across the state to get trained in skills that are capable of boosting their economic powers.

"To this end, GOF has designed many programmes to empower and assist residents of the state in no distant future," he revealed.

Other participants at the meeting also dwelled so much on why farming should be given top priority, as the state is blessed with fertile soil.

A member of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the Foundation, Mrs Dupe Ajayi-Gbadebo stressed the need for each individual to explore his/her strength and use such better the lots of the people in the environment.

Prince Awofisayo therefore promised on behalf of the management to invite all members of partnering agencies to programmes soon to be organised by the Foundation.
