2023:Atiku Has Bigger Claims On Emi lokan --Group
Chairman of a political group, Atiku Abubakar Progressive Movement (AAPM), Barrister Ojo Williams, has asserted that the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has a bigger stake in southwest of the country, especially as regards the 2023 elections.

THE AAPM Chairman maintained that as a result of Atiku's economic and political contributions to the growth of the country in the last few years which has placed him as the most experienced among other contenders for the nation's presidential seat, just as he maintained that  the Adamawa State-born politician has bigger claims on 'Emi lokan' entitlements.

The Atiku Abubakar Progressive Movement(AAPM) is an amalgamation of all groups rooting for the candidature of the PDP Presidential candidate which are not limited to Osun State but operate there.

According to Williams, Atiku as an in-law to Osun through his marriage to an  Ijesa daughter, Chief Mrs Titi Atiku, by rote of law, has strong stake in southwest and is loved by Yorubas.

Addressing officers of AAPM at the inauguration of the body on Wednesday, the Chairman who is a PDP stalwart in Osun and a former Zonal Legal Adviser of the party in the south west assured that Atiku would emerge victorious at the 2023 polls.

"As our in-law in Osun State, Atiku Abubakar, our Presidential candidate, equally has a stake in southwest's project. So by the reason of marriage coupled with his widely acknowledged cosmopolitan disposition and as someone loved by many Yorubas, he's equally entitled to the 'Emi lokan' claim as the most experienced among those currently angling for the country's coveted number One seat at Aso Rock, Abuja" he asserted

Williams said that with the wider reach  of Atiku across the country, he was optimistic that the nation's former Vice President would win convincingly in Osun, Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Ekiti and Lagos and other parts of the federation.

"Atiku Abubakar is one of us and is loved by many Yorubas. As such,I have no doubt in my mind that he would win the coming presidential election, convincingly everywhere including the southwest. This is because generally across the country, people are tired of the All Progressives Congress (APC)" noted the AAPM Chairman.

The body's Chairman maintained that regardless of anyone flying the flag of APC, Nigerians won't vote for them; stressing, "the APC has given Nigerians their best which has not been good enough for the common man on the street. So what are they coming to do again; is it to further drag our clock of progress backwards? Never!"

He then appealed to leaders and stakeholders of AAPM in the state to swing into action by going back to their respective local units to commence mobilisation of people so as to shore up the support base of Atiku as a way of ensuring his victory at the 2023 polls.
