Prince Awofisayo Congratulates Asiwaju Tinubu on His 70th Birthday

A prominent chieftain of the ruling-All Progressives Congress, APC in Osun State, Prince Felix Adeyemi Awofisayo has congratulated the National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 70th birthday.

Contained in a statement issued and signed by Prince Awofisayo's media team, the APC Elders' Caucus member wished the frontline political leader many more years in good health in his great service to the country.

According to the Ile-Ife-born Prince, Asiwaju Tinubu had paid his dues as an elder statesman with train of individuals who have benefited from his mentorship, who are still making waves on the nation's political landscape.

"In terms of human capital development, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has made an indelible mark on the nation's political landscape with some of his desciples still making waves in all human endeavours," Prince Awofisayo stressed.

He then praised the celebrant for his tenacity and consistency since the beginning of the nation's current democratic dispensation, adding that Asiwaju Tinubu has remained a solid pillar behind most of the successes recorded, not only in Lagos State but even at the federal level.

He stated further that the history of progressive politics would be incomplete in Nigeria without the mention of the celebrant's name, as he stood against the onslaught orchestrated by the PDP-led Federal Government under President Olusegun Obasanjo, when he withheld all the Local Government statutory allocation for Lagos State for years.

"It was the celebrant's ingenuity that saw Lagos State progressing despite the withholding of the local government statutory allocation by PDP-led Federal Government when he was the governor of the state," Prince Awofisayo observed.

He therefore called on all APC members across the country to ensure the emergence of Asiwaju Tinubu as the party's presidential candidate to serve as his 70th birthday present.

"The only valuable gift we, as APC members, can present the celebrant on his 70th birthday celebration is to ensure his emergence as our party's presidential candidate ahead of the 2023 general elections," he stated.

While praying for the celebrant on this occasion, the Osun APC Chieftain wished him more glorious years ahead in service to the nation.
