Asiwaju Tinubu Is A Rock

National Leader of the All Progressives Congress and party's presidential aspirant, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been described as the rock of Gibraltar who not only lives for himself but largely for others.

Senator Ajibola Basiru of Osun Central Senatorial District made the description in a congratulatory message to the former Lagos State Governor on his 70th birthday.

Senator Basiru points out that Asiwaju Tinubu has continued to be a phenomenon in Nigeria’s politics because of selfless service to the State he governed, South-West and the nation as a whole.

"We cannot forget in a hurry his roles in the formation of various groups particularly NADECO in the inglorious years of the military which eventually led to ousting of military anarchy and enthronement of democracy."

"It will be pretty difficult for anybody to rubbish his efforts at transforming Lagos within eight years to one of Africa's largest economies, raising its revenues from a few millions to billions, added to physical metamorphosis of the State earlier infamous for slums and dirty."

Senator Ajibola Basiru reminds people that Asiwaju Tinubu has survived onslaught from both the military and civilians and has triumphed over adversaries with his amiable mien, cathodic protection against calumnies and soft approaches to quenching burning matters of local and national politics.

Stressing that Senator Bola Tinubu has paid his dues in politics,Senator Basiru prayed that Allaah grants the APC leader his remaining heart desires in sound health and longevity.
