APC Is Where Our Leaders Are - SRJ

Senator Ajibola Basiru of Osun Central Senatorial District has said that the body and soul of the All Progressives Congress is where the party's leaders and elders are. 

Senator Basiru stated this at a mini empowerment programme to reach out to members of his Constituency. 

The Senator made it clear that APC rests on the presence of the Governor, members of his executive Council, House of Assembly members, Local Government Chairmen and councilors as well as the elders caucus, stressing that any other gathering is an aberation. 

He enjoined party faithful and loyalists to stand firm and resolute for the party and work towards victory for Governor Adegboyega Oyetola in July 16 election.

"Tell those who are still in doubt that the party is strong and is fortified by the presence of party leaders and elders and other major stakeholders. Let’s all join hands together and retain our party in power beyond July 16. We can do it."

Speaking about the empowerment programme, Senator Basiru said it is a prelude to what will come this year 2022. He assured his constituents that what he did in the last two and half years will be a child's play compared to what they stand to benefit as the year progresses.

"The dividends will go round but not at once, it has to be gradual. It will definitely go round. We have reached out to farmers, hairdressers, car wash operators, vulcanizers, tailors, seamstresses, students and commercial motorcyclists as well as tricycle operators.

 We have just completed the building of a 1000 capacity Agriculture Entrepreneural Center in Awosuru Osogbo here."

"Rest assured that the benefits will touch households and communities and that's why we continue to sink boreholes, provide streetlights and transformers and as well grade roads. We keep you in mind. You are the reason I'm in Abuja."

Speaker after speaker including state lawmakers, party chieftains and beneficiaries lauded Senator Ajibola Basiru for periodically reaching to his constituents. They described his brand of politics as that of truth and seriousness, a clear departure from what people see as lies and deceit in politics.

They called on Osogbo to continue supporting Dr Ajibola Basiru and Governor Adegboyega Oyetola describing them as few of those who make promises and fulfil them.

 Beneficiaries of the mini empowerment programme smiled home with motorcycles and sewing machines.
