Year 2022: Kwara SPAG hold first quarterly meeting, restrategize on its objectives

Kwara, State Partnership against Gender Based Violence against Women and Girls with Disability, SPAG Committee held its first quarterly meeting for year 2022 in the state.

The SPAG Committee of the EMPOWER Project of UN-Women and Society for life Changers and Good Parental Care, SoLife restrategized its objectives of ensuring end of Violence against Women and Girls with Disability in the state at the Conference hall of the Ministry of Social Development, Kwara government Secretariat


At the quarterly meeting, the SPAG Chairman Mr Aremu Stephens Akinyele who appreciated the committee for the inputs, charged them to double up their delivery of necessary strategy needed for performance as advocate of end Violence against Women and Girls with Disability in the state.


He pointed out that consistent advocacy, meetings among others is important for the expectation of the EMPOWER Project in having zero violence against Women and Girls with Disability in Kwara State.


On the EMPOWER Project, analysis, review and restrategizing was made on the Monitoring and Evaluation, communication, human rights and programmes of the targets.


Success story such as free Health services to women and girls with disability at the General Hospital in Offa was applauded during feedback, while campaign against ending violence and stigmatization against Women and girls with Disability are to be heightened.


The first quarterly meeting for Kwara SPAG was well attended by the Committee members selected from relevant agencies of the government and organizations.
