Osun Govt. Commences Usage Of Omoluabi Scholar Buses

The Government of the state of Osun has commence the usage of the Omoluabi Scholar buses to convey public students across the state.
It would be recalled that a medium in state accused government of Osun of abandonment of the buses procured by the past administration.
However, the buses are now being put to use as observed in Ã’sogbo the state capital. 

We visited some public schools in Ã’sogbo and withness students lining up to enter the scholar buses after closing hours.

This medium however,gathered that the students are paying a sum of ₦50 as cost of transportation. 
Speaking with us, one of the drivers of the buses who pleaded anonymity, confirmed the collection of ₦50 transport fare, adding that the money goes to the pocket of the state government.

He said :“ As you can see, we have started using the buses for conveying the students and the amount we are collecting is ₦50 per student. Although,there are some students who lap themselves,we do not charge an extra amount for that.
“The money being collected goes to the pocket of the state government and I think the money will be for the maintenance of the buses”.

Also , a student of Laro Grammar school, Oke Fia Ã’sogbo, confirmed that the bus is being use to convey them with a payment of ₦50.

She said:”I am living at Okinni and from here to my area i pay ₦50. I am very happy that the bus is conveying us now. 

It has reduced the burden of hike in transportation in osogbo from my parents.
