We are proud to have SRJ …,Asiwaju Musulumi

The Asiwaju Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta,Alhaj Khamis Olatunde Badmus, has expressed satisfaction with quality representation of Senator Ajibola Basiru  as he also commended him for his contributions towards the growth of Islaam in Osogbo.

Asiwaju Olatunde Badmus stated this at the Installation and turbaning of some Islamic titled chiefs at Osogbo Central Mosque. Asiwaju gave kudos to Senator Basiru for being a key contributor towards ensuring that the new Osogbo Prayer Ground along Ibokun Road became presentable and a pride as the foremost prayer ground in Osun.

"I have to say that Basiru put  a lot of effort on the new Prayer Ground. He used his position as an Osogbo son in Government to ensure that we have a beffiting Central Prayer Ground. We thank him and others who stand for Islaam in Osogbo."

Asiwaju also added that Senator Ajibola Basiru's gesture also extended to Osogbo Central Mosque which now wears a new look. The leading community leader also said everyone is proud watching SRJ intervention on national television.

"Basiru's efforts could also be seen and appreciated on our Central Mosque. He played a leading role in giving the mosaue a new look. I rejoice with the Kabiyesi and the Chief Imaam for Allah that gave them illustrious sons and daughters they can always look up to."

There and then did Chief Olatunde Badmus and the Ataoja of Osogboland give  open support and endorsement to Senator Ajibola Basiru describing him as a worthy Osogbo-born politician who hoists the banner of the State high in the National Assembly. 

Alhaji Layi Busari, an Uncle to Senator Ajibola Basiru was turbanned as the Baba Adini of Osogbo. Others were Alhaji Abdul Ganiy Adekunle as Are Musulumi,Dr Adebayo Jimoh as Giwa Adinni and Alhaji Bade Adesina as Saraki Adinni.

The occasion was attended by Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, his wife,Alhaja Kafayat Oyetola and full complement of the State cabinet, captains of industry and other eminent sons and daughters of Osogboland. The Grand Imaam of Osun State, Sheikh Musa Animashun led Islamic clerics to the ceremony.
