G 21 CLARION CALL ON NATIONAL RECONCILIATION COMMITTEE TO ESCHEW PREJUDICIAL VERDICT AS IT WILL MARK THE END OF APC IN OSUN

Members of the G 21, Osun Network - A Social-Political group that professes equal treatment for leaders and followers in politics has admonished the committee led by a former Nasarawa governor, Senator, Abdullahi Adamu, to go down the memory lane with  the trajectory of the progressive party formation in Osun to address the parallel party congresses issue which has taken place in the state with great wisdom. This will be without escalating the divisive tendencies which have polarized APC in Osun politics.
Given the mismanagement of the progressive party structure by the incumbent governor through nepotism which was midwifed by Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, the committee should look critically into the reasons why the group that has entrenched the progressive party structure from the AD to APC period has to be segregated and not being carried along in the all-inclusive government which Governor Oyetola has promised before and after becoming governor.

Osun APC is very critical to the Gubernatorial and Presidential elections victory that is expected in 2022 and 2023. It is the APC party performance in Osun Gubernatorial election that will pave the way for the continuous mainstream presence in the federal level.

Without sounding immodest, the committee should unearth the ground of acrimony and animosity between the protegee of Aregbesola, Oyetola, and the party members that were affected by the transfer of fued aggression by Oyetola. Most of these aggrieved members are being owed severance allowance and arrears of half salary. The notion that government is a continuum has been completely  jettisoned.

It should be noted that Aregbesola being the most popular personality irrespective of all leading leaders that have governed Osun, and had been appreciated by the electorates of Osun cannot be shortchanged as his numerous followers can never be taken for granted. If care is not taken adequately by the committee by recognising the winning power of the progressive group, the APC might lose Aregbesola's massive supporters to the opposing party.

One of the reasons why the committee should act as an arbiter in the APC family debacle is to devise a sharing formula that will appease the warring faction's party structure. The party in the APC that weren't  there when the structure was built, should not be allowed to hijack all the percentage of the party structure. It will be grossly unfair.

The genuine reconciliation should engender reparation and payback of all what the aggrieved members have lost for over 3 years the Oyetola's administration has held sway in government. The sidelined members of the Aregbesola's group who genuinely worked in all the 9 federal constituencies in the primary and the general election for Oyetola's emergence as governor should be adequately compensated.

The coast is however getting clearer as the Progressive are getting comfortable with their massive convergence to receive the committee delegate.

One of the naughty and intractable issues to be thrashed out by the committee is to employ the APC constitutional magic wand to probe into the reason why the Incumbent governor had to use one teller to purchase the forms that are meant for all the congresses candidates in all the 332 wards of Osun. In every commonwealth, equity and fairness should be the watchword. The contestants are supposed to be independent of any contrived favoritism by the Governor. The concomitant effect of this has been that the progressives are now in court already over this huge misdemeanor.

The group that followed the due process in all the congresses  (i.e) the Ward, the Local Government, and the State should be allowed to form the APC party Exco government.

Reference must be made out of this, and judgment is being awaited to save Osun State from the hand of the opposition. It would be recalled surreptitiously that if not because of the declaration of an inconclusive election when APC in Osun was not fragmented, we would have lost the last governorship election to the PDP. A word is enough for the wise for the sanctity the progressive is known for to reign in Osun.
