FOPDOs Holds NEC Meeting in FEDPOFFA, Inaugurates Newly Elected Executives

The Forum of Pension Desk Officers of Federal MDAs has inaugurated its newly elected executives during her National Executive Council meeting held at the Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara State.

The Meeting was held on Thursday, January 27th, 2022.

The National Secretary of FOPDOs, Sir, Nze P. Nze in his opening remarks thanked the management of The Federal Polytechnic Offa for its warm reception of FOPDOs executives and for producing the first National Chairman.

The Secretary stated that the FOPDOs NEC meeting was held in FEDPOFFA to honor its national chairman, Alhaji Jimoh Yusuf who initiated the idea of the forum as the first of its kind. He, therefore, urged the management of the Polytechnics to further encourage Pension Desk Officers in their institutions  to attend training to enhance their productivity.

Also speaking, the FOPDOs National Chairman and Pension Desk Officer of FEDPOFFA, Alhaji Jimoh Yusuf commended the management of the Polytechnic led by Dr. Olarongbe Afolabi for its maximum support and lauded the presence of other FOPDOs executives from different tertiary institutions.

While narrating the idea that gave birth to the forum, he thanked the executives for the trust reposed in him as the elected national chairman, he, therefore, pledged his continuous support for the success and development of the forum.

The Acting Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Olarongbe Afolabi welcomed the executives of FOPDOS to the fastest growing Polytechnic in Nigeria, he noted that the management attaches much importance to pension administration as it deals with tomorrow of civil servants. 

According to him, "Pension administration is very important and the Polytechnic attach so much importance to it because you are dealing with our tomorrow. If tomorrow is in shamble, then today is already shaken.

He further advised FOPDOs to work on registration with CAC for smooth administration.

The Forum of Pension Desk Officers (FOPDOs) of Federal MDAs is the apex professional association of Pension Desk Officers ( PDOs) drawn from Ministries, Departments, and Agencies in Nigeria's Public Service to facilitate seamless retirement and pension benefits administration for Nigerian civil servants.

The newly inaugurated executives are:

2. National Vice Chairman: Ibhade Patricia Okoruwa, PDO LUTH, Lagos State.

3. Dep. National Chairman North Central: Mr. Moses Ademola Opaleke, PDO UNILORIN, Kwara State.

4. DNC North East: Alh. Tijjani A. Jika, PDO UMTH, Borno State.

5. DNC North West: Mr. Joseph Mallumbura Thliza, PDO FCE Katsina, Katsina State.

6. DNC South East: Elder Okechukwu Christian Oji, PDO FUTO, Imo State.

7. DNC South South: Mr. Raymond Ovat, PDO UNICAL, Cross River State.

8. DNC South West: Mr. Aronkola Isaac Babajide, PDO OAU, Osun State.

9. National Secretary: Sir Nze Peter Nze (KSJI), PDO NIFFR, Niger State.

10. Asst. National Secretary: Mr. Bello Abdul-Hakeem, PDO NBTE, Kaduna State.

11. National Treasurer: Mrs. Nnenne Felicia Akpusi, PDO NTDC, Abuja.

12. National Financial Secretary: Mr. Ibeke Bede Ndubuisi, PDO (Bursary) Nekede Poly, Imo State.

13. National Auditor: Princess Saidat Omhiefe Ziregbe, PDO NIFFR, Edo State.

14. National Welfare Officer: Mr. Abu Peter Al-Len, PDO FERMA, Abuja.
